ESTATE PLANNING & PROBATE MATTERS
Effective estate planning benefits you and your family, both during and after your lifetime. An estate plan protects your assets before and after your death and protects your family members and loved ones from a costly and public legal process after you die. You may also (1) take advantage of tax benefits created as part of the estate plan and (2) ensure assets are used if you should need more care as you age. |
As part of the estate planning process, we will discuss your goals and objectives, gather relevant information, and advise you as to the best plan for your unique circumstances. We will prepare all of the legal documents in accordance with your desires and explain each document so you fully understand its purpose.
After the plan is place, we will also work with you should there be any changes in your life or in the laws impacting your estate plan. As a member of the Wealth Counsel network, we are updated regularly on changes affecting our clients’ estate plans and we pass along that information to you. Probate proceedings and estate administration may arise after a loved one has died. The type of estate plan in place dictates whether probate proceedings must be initiated or whether administration may take place outside the court system. Our experienced lawyers can advise you and guide you, accordingly. |
