Chris W. Potthoff is an associate attorney with the law firm of Richard Reimer and Associates LLC and has been with the firm since 2003. Mr. Potthoff concentrates his practice in the area of public sector labor law and public pension law. Mr. Potthoff represents police officers and firefighters involved in disciplinary matters. Chris also has vast experience representing clients in collective bargaining matters.
Chris earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Chris received his Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in January of 2003 and is licensed to practice law in Illinois at the State and Federal level. He is also affiliated with the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Chris has been an Adjunct Instructor at Lewis University where he taught a graduate school course in Public Sector Civil Liability. Mr. Potthoff was a police officer prior to joining Richard Reimer and Associates and served as patrol officer, school resource officer, detective, and a member of a tactical response team. In 2008, Mr. Potthoff returned to policing and is currently serving as a detective assigned to a suburban high school. |
